Acronis Disk Director 12.5.163:
Acronis Disk Director 12 - is a set of powerful tools to optimize the use of disk resources and data protection. With it, you can create disk partitions and manage them to store different file or operating systems on one disk, quickly recover lost or deleted data, reduce the time to create backup images and diagnostic tools, as well as improve the overall performance of the computer.
Key features:
• Creation of basic and dynamic volumes. The convenient volume creation wizard has been enhanced and now supports the creation of dynamic volumes. Now, in addition to basic volumes in Acronis Disk Director, it is easy to create dynamic volumes, which allows you to:
o increase the size of the volume in excess of the capacity of one disk, using a composite volume;
o reduce file access time using a striped volume;
o provide fault tolerance with a mirrored volume *.
• Add, delete, and split mirror volumes. A basic or simple volume can be made fault tolerant with just one action — by adding a mirror. If additional unallocated space is required on a disk where one of the mirrors is located, remove the mirror. Divide a mirrored volume to get two independent simple volumes with identical original content.
• Copy or move a volume of one type as a volume of another type. When copying or moving a volume, change its type. For example, the contents of a mirrored volume can be copied to a spanned volume.
• Convert primary volumes to logical and vice versa. Convert the main volume to a logical volume to create the fifth volume on the disk where there are already four main volumes at the moment.
• Convert base disks to dynamic and vice versa. Convert existing basic disks to dynamic, which increases the reliability of the disk used as data storage.
• Convert GPT disks to MBR disks and vice versa. Disk partitioning can be changed as required.
• Import foreign drives. Dynamic disks added from another machine can be made available on the system.
• Changing disk status: from online to offline and vice versa. Change the drive status to offline to protect it from unintended use.
• Disk cloning. Using the Disk Clone Wizard, you can replace the old basic MBR disk with a new one without reinstalling operating systems and applications. The wizard transfers all data from the source disk to the target. The volumes of the source disk can be cloned onto the target disk as one-on-one or resized automatically to fit the size of the target disk.
• Disk and volume management operations. Listed below is a wide range of disk and volume management operations.
o Resizing, moving, copying, splitting and merging disks without
o loss and destruction of data.
o Formatting volumes, assigning labels and letters to them, as well as switching volumes to the active state.
o Initialization of newly added hard drives.
o Delete volumes.
o Change file systems.
o Disk cleaning.
o Hiding and displaying volumes.
o Specify i-node density.
o Resize cluster.
o Review volume data (even Linux) before performing operations.
o View changes made to the disk and volume structure before applying these changes.
o View detailed information about all hard drives, volumes and file systems.
• Acronis Recovery Expert. Helps to restore accidentally lost or deleted volumes on main MBR disks.
• Acronis Bootable Media Builder. Now you can create bootable media based on both WinPE and Linux to use Acronis Disk Director on a clean machine or without an operating system.
• Acronis Disk Editor. Professional tool for performing various actions on a hard disk.
• Magazine. Allows you to view information about operations with disks and volumes, including finding out the causes of failures, if they arise.
Acronis Universal Restore 11.5.40067:
Acronis Universal Restore - provides flexible disaster recovery and system migration. With Acronis Universal Restore, you can quickly and accurately restore data from one server to any other physical or virtual server, provided that the source and target servers are based on x86 architecture. Instead of looking for identical equipment and spending a lot of time setting it up, you can simply quickly restore your server to a certain operating state, while minimizing the downtime of equipment implementing key business processes.
Key features:
1. Restore a failed computer to other equipment or a virtual machine in minutes.
2. Transfer of systems according to the "physical-virtual", "virtual-physical", "physical-physical" or "virtual-virtual" scheme in order to restore testing, etc.
3. Installing new hardware drivers and replacing the HAL level to boot the computer after changing the motherboard or hard disk controller, or to transfer the hard disk to another machine.
4. Cloning and deployment of operating systems regardless of hardware.
