program in the form of a virtual printer driver for creating documents in PDF format. It supports the creation of PDF-projects from multiple documents or files and has a preview mode. It is possible to set a ban on editing a document, encrypting it, and setting a password for opening. The professional version compared to the standard has the ability to add page numbers, headers and footers, watermarks, the ability to create bookmarks and some other additions.
In the 4th version it has the ability to save in FP format, the ability to customize the user interface, adjust the graphics for color and monochrome files in scanned documents.
Installation of the program is simple and does not cause any difficulties. After installation, a new printer appears on your system under the name FinePrint pdfFactory. By default it is set to A4 format. If there is a desire to change something in the settings, you need to go to the printer properties through Start> Settings> Printers> FinePrint pdfFactory. Here you can change the sheet size, its orientation, as well as set printing metrics. Printing is understood as a PDF file — it is the program that prints there, and not on paper. Indents on the edges of the sheet or print resolution can be set manually, or can be emulated from any other printer installed on your system. It is also possible to specify in the "Show dialog" option whether to display a special dialog for editing printed sheets at the time of printing or to do without the dialog or some of its capabilities.
One of the possibilities is to preview the print, the other is to send the resulting file by e-mail, for example, to your boss. In addition, in the "Downsample bitmaps to" option, you can control the quality of the "printed" images so as not to inflate the dimensions of the final file in vain. The larger the DPI in this option, the higher the file size will be. Well, the Advanced button allows you to define a list of fonts that are embedded in any print. With FinePrint pdfFactory you can print from any Windows application that supports print mode. To do this, just select File> Print (or File> Print in English-language versions of programs) and specify the FinePrint pdfFactory as the printer. As soon as the printing process begins, all information sent to the printer will actually be sent to a PDF file, located in the folder "My Documents / PDF files".
